So you wanna know about Vegas huh!?!

WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS, STAYS IN VEGAS!!!

Don't you watch TV?????? :-p

20031020

Suffered all day from LOS, lack of sleep! A bit happy and relieved that Thanh and I got the HDP paper done tonight, thanks mostly to Thanh! This week is gonna suck up to the point I leave San Diego for Vegas. Only then will I be gratified for my hard work and efforts. *sigh*
In pain. Ultra delirious. No sleep make Ronnel something something. Crazy? Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeahhhh....

20031019

"Studying" is fun! ;-)

20031015

Lakers lost to the Suns 86-104. Boo. At least I got a free Lakers shirt. Shaq and Kobe didn't play. Malone and Payton did. Parked far but saved myself $10. Thanks dad for getting the tickets and for the free pre-party. I'm happy I got to do something other than school.

School sucks. It does. I'm excited for next weekend. But I have lots to do before then. Plans are coming together, finally. Hoping everything works out...
Where are my days going? Damn, it's not like I'm trying to screw myself, but it always seems to happen. Missed HDP lecture today, AGAIN. That's two Tuesdays in a row, and friggin' last week, I got screwed. Didn't know about the stupid midterm. Now THIS week, I find out the stupid prospectus rough draft is due, at midnight!!! Been working on that shit for the past couple hours. Damn damn damn!!! I guess I have my eye on the ball, but I really need to start catching it! *sigh* Got a lot to make up for...

To recap past days, Sunday morning was typical. Church then family lunch. Price club afterwards. At least my mommy bought me a Nemo! She was trying to make up for sending me a viscious e-mail of Nemo in a sushi roll. Thanks mom. APO Phi class pledge installations were that night. A whopping 76 people pledged, including 26 guys, 50 girls, and 3of4 of my roommates. Congrats and good luck this qrt! I'm hoping the DP rate will be low, cuz they all seem like really cool people. UCR and UCI chapters heads showed up, and there was a massive amount of APO heads at Souplantation after installations. It was good stuff.

And what happened to my Monday? I don't think having the day off is the greatest thing for me, but at least it wasn't a total waste. Had lunch with Margie and Jarrod at Imperial Palace on Convoy. Ate so much dim sum and chinese food! Worked out afterwards cuz didn't want all that cals to do to waste. Picked up Eugene then went to UTC to buy Kingdom Hearts. Randomly ran into Cat and Go and ate dinner with them at the food court. Played a bit of Kingdom Hearts then met with Ant and Mark at TE in my PJs. Ran into Ryan and Lauren there. Dropped by MJ's for a bit then went home to play hours upon hours of Kingdom Hearts, thus starting the chain reaction tantrum of today's unfortunate events. Now that I think about it, it's kinda funny! I'll get by, things will work out, and I shouldn't worry so much. Just gotta stay focused and optimistic. =)

Laker game tonight! I'm excited! Found out lotsa people are going today. Besides Eugene and I, Margie, Jarrod, Biggie, Dong and their friends came up on tickets too. Gonna meet my dad for the preparty at 5pm... Guess I'm missing Jap History, once again. Meh, that class sucks anyways!

Ok Ronnel, Happy and Optimistic, happy and optimistic... *deep breath* ready!? go!

AphiO active retreat today. Didn't really feel like getting up, but it was worth it. It was loads of "chill" fun. Hey, were not pledges anymore, so it was a chill retreat. I especially like the "anonymous comment" circle at the end. It was definitely an ego booster, but for good reasons. Thanks to everyone who made it a great experience.

Was so tired afterwards. Wanted to crash out, but had dinner plans with MJoanne. Thanks for dinner and for driving. I can be really dull when I'm hungry. Can't believe I ate the whole bowl of Nabeyaki and drank all the soup. I think it's the first time I've done that. The place we ate was really good (or I was really hungry) but I didn't catch the name. I'll remember it's next to Tapioca Express though.

Gonna spend the rest of the night at home. I'm just too tired and not in the mood to study. Instead, the remaining roomies, which include me, Eugene, Janet, and Vinh just went to get "Down with Love" and a 6 pack of Barcardi Raz, since none of us have tried it yet. It's nice to just chill at home. There's loads of parties tonight, and I'm invited to all of them, but I don't regret missing any of them. I'm happy where I am. Besides, I'm spent...

Church tomorrow, free in the afternoon to spend time with the family or to study, then the APO pledge installations at night. The madness continues...

The movie was interesting. I enjoyed it. It was kinda like a musical. Well, almost, but not really. I'm just a sucker for choreographed dance and song numbers. Das all. :-p I'm spent, so I'm going to bed. Nitey nite nite!

Simple silliness...
V : u just wake up?
S : hehe, noo
S : silly
S : u just get back from studying?
V : hehe, noo

20031011

Today was a great day. Got my school on. Got my AphiO on. Got the movie I've been waiting for in too!!! Kill Bill was awesome! The movie krew for tonight included MJoanne, Janet, Vinh, Mark, Anthony, Elene, and Eugene. Traditional INnOUT run after the movie set the scene for me to knock out as soon as I got home.

Tomorrow is all cut out for me too. Crazy how packed my schedule is. This quarter is already blowing by me. It's only been two weeks. I'm swamped, but I'm handling it. God is making me EARN my 21st birthday celebration. And for good reason. For darn good reason...

20031010

At least it didn't go as bad as I thought it would... *sigh of relief*

Hey, it's 1:43...

20031009

I can't believe I'm stressin' so early in the quarter. I'm not ready. I'm not.

Thanks mom for the lobster. Love ya lots.

I can't think right now. I don't want to. *sigh*

Sleep. Wish I could sleep forever and ever. No, not die, just sleep. I'm exhausted, tired... tired of waking up...

20031008

*Monday's Festivities*
Was woken up again by my mommy to have breakfast with her and dad. Dad had the day off. We then watched some movie about a kid with autism trying to win a sexual assualt case in court. Interesting stuff. It was nice to spend some quality time with the 'rents. Afterwards, I left for La Jolla and got a lot of misc. work done around the house. Got dinner at Yummy Maki with Eugene and Matt. Christine was working the floor. Was supposed to go to DnB's for Rainiers B-day shindig, but we all got lazy to go and instead played loads of beer pong at the pad and had quite a few sessions. I don't remember what happened afterwards.

--

Today I slept ALL DAY. Didn't wake up 'til 5pm. Basically, I screwed myself over. At the APO info nite, I luckily found out from Thanh that we have our prospectuses due tomorrow and a midterm on Thursday for HDP 121. Greeeeeat. So instead of going to INnOUT, I met up with her to study and work on the prospectus. Boo. Stupid me. Stupid class. Damn, AND it's only 2nd week! Oh well, at least I have all day tomorrow to study... (hopefully)

20031007

Whoa, I have my work cut out for me. A whole weekend went by and I didn't get a chance to recap. Ok, here we go...

Friday
Was woken up by MJoanne so I can take her to get her oiled changed. After a trip to her El Cajon mechanic, I headed straight for campus to get an early start on my day. Ate and early lunch and got some reading done. I remember chillin' with Yuichi and Yuka at PC and just capping on all the girls wearing bright, hot pink! I mean, if they were cute, it'd be all good, but..... YEAH. Class was a drag, 3 hours of torture. Not that the material wasn't interesting, or that I was sleepy (I did have a huge cup of mocha coffee beforehand), it was the simple fact that it was Friday afternoon and I was ancy to get out! Good thing the prof ended 30 mins early. She could see the STRAIN in everyone's eyes. Hehe.

Rested for a bit at home after a quick trip to Kinko's. Can't believe La Jolla drivers!!! I swear I was waiting for a spot for like 2 minutes with my signal on, then once he leaves, some fucker in a beamer zooms in and takes it! BITCH!!! I so wanted to key the hell out of the car, but my good natured side kicked in. Lucky I believe in karma, mothafucka. You'll get what's coming to you...

Had dinner at INnOUT with Ryaneezy then kicked it at Marvin's place for a few drinks before the FallFest-ivities. It's great to chill with old homies. Hey Marv, gotta stop thinking with you "head" bro! :-p FallFest was aight, I don't really expect much more from these typa things. Mebbe if I was a freshmen, hot off of my new freedom, I'd be more excited for such a thing. Damn, I'm getting old. Errr. Funny, we left early to grub once again at INnOUT. I know it's a guy thing to say but, it's great rolling into a lot with my BOOMS turned up and breaking necks! Sorry, hehehehe, do I need to call a chiropractor for all y'all? ^_^ I'm prouda ya Meilani, you've been through a lot, but you deserve every bit of luxury I buy ya. Nothing wrong with a wittle bit of big-headedness every-so-often. Diba?

Met with my bruthas at my place for a well deserved session. Kuki experienced the joys of blasting off! Three words, COOLEST CAT EVER! Crashed out...

Saturday
Woken up this time by Mark who was on his way up for 220 auditions. We weren't taking these auditions seriously. We didn't really like the team and have other dance team plans. Besides, there were 100+ people auditioning! I refrained from even registering. Few heads showed up that we knew, and for the most part, we were just talking shit about people. Jey and her brother Jeth popped in. Jeth was former 220. While they were auditioning, Jey and I got breakfast at Coco's and had a catch-up session. Thanks for letting me gripe and vice-versa. I'm glad someone in the world agrees with me, hehe. Yes, it does suck there aren't more people like us, but hey, it's what makes life interesting! Diba!? Anyhoo, I'm fortunate to have really good friends in my life.

Upon my return, Mark wanted to leave and we went to see the movie "Lumpia," which was showing at the Price. Damn, and guess who I saw there! None other than my ex, Christine. Hehe, great day huh? I couldn't be anything but nice so I went to say hi and at least find out how she's doing. It was nice to talk to her again, I guess. I mean, we did go out, even if it was for a short while. Crazy how I didn't even recognize her at first. Her hair was up to her waist. So, USC huh. University of SouthWestern college. Good stuff. Study hard ok?

Had to leave early from the movie. I was sad I didn't get to finish it, but it's all good. Better that than Mark's ass at work. It was pretty funny though. Packed my stuff then headed to the WYD meeting at church. It's great we have such a big group! I'm kinda excited for the 2005 WYD in Germany. I know we have loads of fundraising, but we always pull through. I'm not too worried.

Met my parents for dinner at Pho Pasteur with 'turnizee. Damn did we get our grub on! I swear that was the most I've eaten at a Vietnamese place. Had my own bowl of Pho, plus a share of the 7courses meal, plus fish, pork, and rice! Not to mention loads of ice tea and water. Can you say "monster?" Hehe. Ant and my dad had their fair share too.

Spent the rest of the night chillin' at home, listening to MP3s and talking to BFJo. It was kinda nice to be home and not worry about anything. Didn't get any studying done, but it's expected. I always bring home my books, but they always remain in the backpack, uncracked and unread. Hehe.

Sunday
Was woken up today by my mommy, reminding me I was the lector for the 10am mass. Got dressed and left before the fam to check out the FallFestival for our church. Mass went on as normal. Lectored and ended up ushering too. Afterwards, got my grub on at the FallFestival! Ate tocino, rice, fruit, lumpia, barbecue, cotton candy, funnel cake, and lots of kinayod na melon drink! I remember joking around about the 5-0. since they were the tallest people there. "Look, there they are!" Hehehe. After my dad donated blood, we took off for Price Club, err, Costco. Dropped lola at Happy Nails in Bonita, got a smoothie, shopped at Bed, Bath and Beyond, then shopped at Costco. Thanks guys for the Hpnotiq, croissants, and cheese. Sorry I got you addicted to the cheese. Not my fault they taste so good. ;-P

Napped the rest of the afternoon away, then ate at Royal Mandarin for Rainier's 21st birthday. Rain and I checked out each other's BOOMS after dinner. You sure those subs are blown, cuz their still pretty damn good! Rolled to Hazel's birthday party afterwards for her 20th. Had a beer with the southside church homies. Funny, we're all church-goers and here we are chillin' at a party and downing beers. Great stuff, I swear! Hehe.

theBRUTHAS decided to have another session afterwards, but we made things interesting. Since Paradise hills was blacked out, we decided to chill at Zomorano park and smoke a bowl. Seriously, it was a great thing. "Tri-force's Excellent Adventures!!!" Took a walk around the park just talking, orbiting, and taking crazy pictures. Staring at the trees, we see a spotlight, so we decide to jet. Low and behold, it WAS 5-0!!! We drive pass each other as they flash a light into my car to check out the passengers. I know I called in a favor Lord, but THANK YOU. Daaaaaaamn! Didn't get pulled over or chased. I was trippin' over this fact all night! I ALWAYS get pulled over for the stupidest, most pointless, even just out of nowhere kinda crap, but tonight, I get away with THIS!?!? I must've done something right or pleasing in the Lord's eyes to be able to make it through that ordeal! Seriously, THANK YOU. *whew* The night ends with a mini-recap and chill session outside Ant's pad. Crazy guys, crazy. "ANTURNIZEE (11:52:54 AM): lolz yeah this will go down in the book of memories" It sure will!!!

20031002

Pretty much slept in today. Funny tho, I was still able to get some breakfast. Margie wakes me up and we go to eat at Coco's. Mmm, I had steak, eggs, potatoes, and pancakes, not to mention lots of coffee! After a good lunch, well, breakfast(it was 1pm already...) I set on my quest to get my new amp and subs installed. Upon this quest, I somehow get it in my head that I also want a new head unit, particulary, a Sony Xplod MP3/CD/AM/FM stereo unit. After going to a few places, the best deal I get is $300 at a place called Car Audio Heaven in Clairemont. That was for the new head unit, plus all the misc. parts and fees and install for the rest of my system. What it comes down to is that when I pulled out of the store at 6:45pm, my load was now equipped with a full Sony Xplod sound system. It. Sounds. Nice! I love the quality and the clarity. Still, it gives me the hit and bass I so dearly desire in my car. All my track music sounds nicer, and the DRUM N BASS is now to die for! Yay! Sorry Eugene I forgot to pick u up, I was late anyways and I had no car. My bad. Thanks to my parents, who took the purchases well. Happy Birthday me!!! Thanks guys for getting me a new system for my baby, Meilani. We are both very grateful. Funny how the birthday presents you give me always end up being for my car! Rims, tires, sound system... I am very appreciative tho. =) This makes my day, not to mention the Smallville season primiere! And to top it all off, the bruthas come over for a session and a ride in the new sound-mobile. There goes my days of being a speedy little rice rocket! Now Meilani's in cruisin' mode! (^_^)\\//

I'm very happy right now. Things are going great. The school year started off right, and my 21st birthday is coming up. If anything, I'm content. But I still feel like something's missing. I have this sort of void. What is it? What am I missing? Ok, this needs to stop. I won't let this get the best of me. I'm stronger than that.

Life. Life goes. Life goes on. My life goes on. My life goes. My life. My.

You tell me, anything missing?

20031001

Dangggggggggggggg. I was SOOO sore today! That's what I get for not working out in so long. Today was a pain to get through. Managed to wake up early tho and get lunch w/ Mae Mae. Thanks Mae for the breakfast! I LOVE BREAKFAST! Maybe cuz I don't get to have it that often. Hehe. Bought books for my Jap History class afterwards and tried to look for a keyboard for the PDA Joe lent me. No luck. Wanted to charge it on the student account. Shneaky eh? HDP 121 class was cool. I thought my TA was funny last week. The professor was just as funny. I'm happy and predict good things for that class. Went to Fry's after class and found a keyboard compatible to Joe's PDA. $90!!! Ahh!!! There goes all my money. Had to stop by my mom's work and pick up the groceries she bought for me at Price Club. Damn, that was an extreme hassle carrying loads of water and fraps while sore and trying not to get run over by downtown traffic! Ahh again!!! Afterwards, I was extremely hunger so I ate at Manila Sunset back in the hood. Got a quick haircut then went home to try to get the PDA keyboard to work. No avail. Got to class late (but the class itself is late, 5pm!) but Margie saved me a seat. Thanks babe! Now that class... Boringness up the ying-yang! Wanted to sleep due to food coma, lack of sleep, tiredness, soreness, and sheer BOREDOM, but didn't wanna embarass myself. That was motivation enough to stay awake. Somehow, Gie and I rode through it. We went to the bookstore so I could return the books I just bought that morning for that class and got a refund. Gie was planning to buy the books herself and just charge it on HER student account so that HER mommy pays for it. Haha. We think alike. Got some not-so-bad but cheap(in price) coffee at the Sunshine store. Funny how I never really considered that place as a place to obtain coffee. Got to my Pledge Trainer Committee meeting on time. Yay! My big Bribri is in the committee too! Yay Kai! Janet and Vinh were chillin' in LL too. Later, they had some meeting also. Saw Rachel outside of LL while headed to my car w/ Kai. After droppin' Kai at his car, Rach and I got dinner at Roberto's and had some carne asada fries. After figuring it out, I deduced I haven't had CAFs in 2 months! No wonder I missed it! It's cuz I always go to Cotixan and order a burrito or tostada and forget about CAFs. Rach and I caught up with each other since we haven't really chilled for the past year. It's nice seeing/spending time with old friends. For me, it's nice to know I still have old friends! Thanks guys & gals. This is another part of the beginning of the school year that I like. Everyone's all chummy. I know it's eventually gonna die out, when people starting finding their grooves again, but it's a nice feeling, and I mean this in no harm but, milk it as long as you can! It's amazing how so LITTLE can go a LONG way. You never recognize what's in front of you until you realize it's in front of you. It's unfortunate some people come to these life changing/saving realizations sooner than others, and that some don't.
